The Story Behind the Print
This vintage print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird from Birds of America, Plate 47. The composition presents multiple birds amid flowering vines and botanical detail, rendered as a hand-colored ornithological study for collectors and natural history enthusiasts.
Tiny hummingbirds hover and perch among trailing foliage and trumpet-shaped blossoms. Red, orange, and yellow flowers surround their fine bills and delicate wings, creating a lively tangle of bird and botanical detail.

About the Frame

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
