The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Ruff-necked Humming-bird print reproduces plate 379 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and woodland gallery walls.
Three hummingbirds surround a tall flowering plant, with two hovering above pale pink blossoms and another beside a mossy nest below. Emerald, russet and red plumage contrasts with slender flower filaments and sharply veined leaves in this detailed botanical arrangement.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
