The Story Behind the Print
Theophilus Van Kannel's U.S. Patent US387571, granted 1888-08-07, documents storm-door structure. The original Patent Office sheet preserves its technical figures, labels, signatures, and documentary arrangement.
This Archive Print Co. edition retains the approved patent composition and measured border on a warm archival-paper ground. No part of the drawing is cropped or stretched.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. Available as a print or in the Slimwood Silver, Slimwood Gold, and Satin Black frame finishes.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
