We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Godtfred Kirk Christiansen’s U.S. Patent 3,005,282, granted October 24, 1961, describes a “Toy Building Brick” whose projections and internal coupling features create a secure, repeatable connection between pieces. The design translated an elegantly simple geometry into an open-ended construction system.

Exploded views, sections, and underside details give the sheet a clean mid-century technical rhythm. This restored edition keeps the patent arrangement and black drafting lines intact while placing them on a cool old-page texture with a restrained black border.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A playful but precise choice for design studios, children’s spaces, workshops, and collections of modern invention.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with a 1.125 inch face, glazed in crystal-clear acrylic, and finished with a kraft paper dust cover and hanging wire. Your print is dry mounted so it stays perfectly flat for decades. Each framed piece arrives ready to hang.

The frame adds roughly 1.75 inches to each side of the print size you select. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

From a Collector

I wasn't sure what size I needed. The seller was extremely helpful and offered to send mock-up images. Beautiful accent piece!
