The Story Behind the Print
This 1873 Upper Freehold, New Jersey map print shows the township in a soft sage wash on warm cream paper. Fine property lettering, creeks and a railroad make it a detailed study piece.
The map names New Sharon P.O., Allentown P.O., Imlaystown P.O., Walnford, Fillmore P.O., Hornerstown P.O. and Prospertown P.O., with Lahaway Creek and Crosswicks Creek lettered across it. A scale of 200 rods to the inch sits below the title.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
