Whitcomb L. Judson’s U.S. Patent 504,038, granted August 29, 1893, records Whitcomb L. Judson’s clasp locker for shoes, a sliding fastener made from interlocking clasps operated by a guide.
Boot sections, clasp details, and enlarged components turn a small fastener into a richly descriptive fashion plate. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.

About the Frame
